Raising the invisible line between states, that sounds like taking away state rights? Think about it, most insurance is regulated at the state level. Remember how states will lose their doctors because of the cost of medical malpractice (tort reform) premiums are going through the roof. Hmmm…

I lived in NM for a while and ran a small business. We moved there from TX. The options available for a small business sucked. However the options in TX were much better. Our DR was in Las Cruces, NM, 45 miles from El Paso,TX. Why should an employer and his employees in NM have less options for coverage avaiable to them just because they live in a smaller pooer state? If an insurance carrier in TX is bigger and stronger and can offer better benefits for less money it should be available.
